【Vintage】French-made Violin Bow 4/4 Silver Ebony Restored

This is an old French-made violin bow.
MADE IN FRANCE is stamped on the playing side, suggesting it is a French mass-produced bow from around the 20th century.
The stick is likely Pernambuco, and the frog has been replaced with ebony and silver.

After acquiring it from an overseas auction, it underwent overhaul, adjustment, and repair by a specialist to ensure it is in playable and well-preserved condition.
The work prioritizes practicality while respecting the original condition.

・There is no maker's mark, but it is a bow with the typical craftsmanship and balance of French mass-produced bows of that era.

Adjustment and Repair Details (Completed October 2025)

The bow has not been used since the rehair, and rosin has not been applied.
The current camber and balance are both excellent, making it suitable for both playing and collection.

■ Reason for As-Is Condition and Details about the Item

・There is some age-related darkening of the varnish near the tip of the stick.
・Upon acquisition, the screw was severely seized, requiring the original frog to be destroyed for removal.
・Any cracks that occurred during disassembly have been securely repaired with end bushings.
