Vintage Japanese Satsuma-Style Bijutsu Tōki Fine Pottery Vase Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Japanese Satsuma-style porcelain vase, dating from the mid-to-late 20th century.  This stunning piece of Japanese export art pottery features an elegant scene of pheasants/peacocks nestled among vibrant chrysanthemums, peonies, and autumn maple trees. The vase is beautifully accented with raised moriage (textured enamel paint) and rich gold gilt highlighting that catches the light wonderfully.  The base coat features a classic ivory-colored finish with a visible, intentional crackle glaze (kannyū) texture that is highly characteristic of traditional Satsuma wares.The bottom features a red stamped makers mark reading “美術陶器” (Bijutsu Tōki), which translates directly to Art Ceramic or Fine Pottery.
