The Harmon mute is so famous that it's often called the wah-wah mute, with many users and considered the standard wah-wah mute!
When the stem is removed, it can be used as a straight plunger mute, perfect for soulful and jazzy performances.
With the stem inserted, you can create a literal wah-wah sound by covering and uncovering the bell with your hand. With a little creativity, you can enjoy very comical performances.
Compared to aluminum, it is heavier and features the rich, deep resonance unique to copper.
This is the Symphonic Model, slightly larger than the standard size. It is characterized by a sound that is not too bright, making it more suitable for orchestral settings.
A copper trumpet mute with a cork lid, contributing to improved sound quality.
