This is the larger HMS type, so it should be easier to descend using a Munter hitch in situations where you need to rappel down after dropping your belay device.

It should also be easier to belay with a Munter hitch when seconding on a canyoneering trip due to its larger size.

Petzl is the most reliable brand!!

The included unused friction cord (6mm cord, core not removed) can be used as a backup for rappelling, but...
It depends on the rope, so it's best to practice with the rope you'll be using to determine the best friction hitch and number of wraps.
If you don't use it for rappelling, it can also be useful for hanging gear.

Use at your own risk. I am not responsible for any accidents or injuries resulting from the use of this carabiner or friction cord.
