This is the sequel to the 2020 action film Hitman: Agent Jun, in which Kwon Sang-woo plays a former elite assassin turned cartoonist.

Jun, a former NIS (National Intelligence Service of Korea) assassin, had a massive hit with his comic book Agent: Jun, which depicted his past. However, subsequent installments in the series were poorly received, and he faced constant criticism from his editor. His wife and daughter also grew tired of him, pushing him into a corner. He then began drawing comics from the perspective of a villain and posting them online. Hours later, a terrorist incident occurred that mimicked the content of his comic. Suspected of involvement in the incident by the authorities, Jun takes up his pen as a gun once again and throws himself into battle to protect his beloved family and his country.

In addition to the cast from the previous film, including Jung Joon-ho as NIS's tough instructor Dokkyu, Hwang Woo-seul-hye as Jun's wife Mina, and Lee Yi-kyung as Agent Cheol, Kim Sung-oh from 12.12: The Day appears as Pierre Jean, the protagonist Jun's new enemy. Furthermore, Choi Ji-woo from the drama Stairway to Heaven makes a cameo appearance. Director Choi Won-sub, who directed the previous film, returned to the helm.
