Antique 18K White Gold Cats Eye Moonstone Star Moonstone & Old European Cut Diamond Ring, Circa 1917–1925 This exquisite antique ring is crafted in rich 18K white gold and features a luminous 2 Carat natural Indian Star Moonstone measuring approximately 8.5 x 6.2 x 5.2 mm. The moonstone displays the rare occurence of asterism! The coloring is a soft, ethereal, rainbow like adularescence that shifts with the light, characteristic of fine, early 20th-century specimens. Flanking the center stone are four (two on each side) antique Old European cut diamonds, each approximately 1.8 mm in diameter, with high crowns, small tables, and open culets — a hallmark of diamonds cut between the late Edwardian and early Art Deco eras. The total diamond weight is estimated .10 carats. The setting features elegant geometric shoulders and bead-set diamonds, bridging the design sensibilities of the late Edwardian period (1901–1915) with the emerging Art Deco style (1920s).
