This is a handmade Eastern European folk art doll by Rie Kashiwagi.
I purchased it at an event hosted by Mingei Kuriko. Rie Kashiwagi is the artist who illustrated Kuriko's books.
It's cute whether you hang it on the wall, use it as a bag charm, or let its little face peek out from a pocket on your bag.
You can also use it as a Christmas tree ornament.
I bought many of these dolls and have them decorating my doorknobs and walls, but these four have been carefully stored, unused. I would like to pass them on to someone who will cherish them. Thank you.
