Tea Ceremony Utensil Shigaraki Ware Mizusashi (Water Jar) with Shigaraki Ware Lid
Shigaraki ware bucket-shaped mizusashi (freshwater container) with a matching lid.
This piece is made from high-quality coarse clay sourced from the ancient Lake Biwa strata, formed 4 million years ago, and fired in an anagama (tunnel kiln) or similar kiln, allowing the natural colors of the clay to shine through. The style resembles a bucket, and the lid has a handle, which I feel enhances the enjoyment of using a ladle.
This is a brand new, unused item.
