Description
Two-tiered lacquered red container with lid, featuring a decorative design.
The sides of the upper tier have rhythmic carvings on the wood, contrasting with the glossy lacquer finish of the lid and lower tier. This item was stored at my family home and is approximately 60-70 years old.
Approximate dimensions: Please refer to photo 3.
Total height of two tiers: 14cm. Maximum diameter: 12cm. Base diameter: 5cm.
Height of upper tier: 5.5cm (0.5cm is the part that inserts into the lower tier). Height of red handle: 2.4cm.
Height of lower tier: 9cm. Height of black handle: 1.4cm.
As this is an old item, there are some scratches upon close inspection.
When the upper tier container is inverted, there is a chip of about 1cm and another of about 2mm on the bottom (photo 9).
There are two chips of about 1mm each on the rim of the red lid of the upper tier.
The black handle of the lower tier lid is slightly chipped. There is a scratch of about 1.5mm on the inside rim of the lower tier container.
