We have in stock the highly popular and valuable DANNER-made RAT boots adopted by the U.S.M.C. (U.S. Marine Corps)! This model was created in response to feedback from Marines who disliked the disadvantage of Gore-Tex liners retaining water when boots become submerged. It omits Gore-Tex and features drain holes. Designed for use in high-temperature environments, these are versatile all-terrain boots suitable for year-round wear.
The upper is a combination of durable yet breathable nubuck leather and 1000-denier nylon. It features a speed lacing system that allows for quick tightening by simply pulling the laces upwards, and a Vibram 360 Dri-Ice outsole that provides excellent durability, mobility, and stability even in cold conditions.
The toe and heel counters are made of polyurethane-coated leather for enhanced durability. The heel is stamped with the Marine Corps logo of an eagle, globe, and anchor, embodying the ultimate footwear packed with military-grade features.
The breathable and moisture-wicking mesh lining keeps your feet dry and cool, while the well-cushioned insole provides a comfortable fit the moment you put them on. The elastic insole enhances comfort. Despite their rugged appearance, they are surprisingly lightweight and we have received sizes that are a perfect fit for Japanese individuals!
The stitch-down construction, a testament to Danner's craftsmanship, creates a robust and stable structure. They offer a flexible and supple wearing experience, with a fiberglass shank embedded between the sole and insole in the arch area for excellent shock absorption.
